About Us

Dr. Sach completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated with the highest distinction of "Summa Cum Laude" majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Near Eastern Studies.

He then pursed his medical education at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine. As the youngest member of his graduating class, he helped teach gross anatomy to the incoming first year medical students, an activity for which he received a full scholarship covering his 4th year medical school tuition.

His fascination with the complexities of the human body, led him to pursue residency training in the field of internal medicine at the prestigious Cedars Sinai Medical Center. During his residency, he remained involved in the medical education of USC medical students which earned him the title of clinical instructor of medicine at the age of 22.

As a recipient of a $1,000,000 educational grant, he then moved back to UCLA where he spent 18 months studying the intricacies of "Brain-Gut Connections" as they relate to common digestive problems such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). This unique experience as a research scientist at UCLA helped foster his passion for viewing the patient who presents with medical ailments holistically, paying particular attention to the commonly overlooked psycho-social parameters that so powerfully influence disease pathogenesis. He presented his findings at national and international meetings and was successful in publishing peer reviewed articles in this field. Intrigued by the remarkable female preponderance of functional GI disorders, he presented his research findings in a national scientific meeting for which he won the prestigious american college of gastroenterology best gender based research award.

His three year fellowship training at the UCLA GI  training program was unique in that he had the opportunity to rotate through various affiliated clinical settings including Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Wadsworth VA Medical Center medical center and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. As a result of being exposed to the unique needs of patients at each clinical setting, he developed invaluable skills to deal with all sorts of medical problems and honed his reprotoire to be able to care for patients from all walks of life.

Doctor sach's solid medical training, combined with his unique research experience at UCLA in the realm of "Mind-Body Medicine" helped cultivate a rare set of qualities which not too many practicing physicians these days enjoy. These qualities have helped him treat his patients on a more fundamental level which has frequently resulted in exceptional therapeutic success. This has led to his rapid rise as one of the most respected physicians amongst his peers and as one of the most popular Gastroenterologists amongst the patient population in the San Fernando Valley.
